Intel Corporation was founded in 1968 by a chemist and a physicist:

They choose to leave the company they are working for at the time, Fairchild Semiconductor, to start their own business (Intel Corporation) in Santa Clara, California.

In 1971, the company produced its first microprocessors including the Pentium range, which became, in the 1990s, the most sold series and is among the most famous still today but under the name of Core.

In 2006, Intel partnered with Apple and provided the brand with Core 2 Duo microprocessors for iMacs.

In 2010, Intel bought the company protection (anti-virus ...) McAfee.

Intel Corporation has been on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index since 1999 until 2009.
